Tuesday, January 24: Students participated in an activity outlining the problems the colonists had with King George. We then viewed the music video "Too Late to Apologize: A Declaration". We discussed the purpose of the Declaration of Independence and the different sections. Students followed along on T. 154-157 with a video of actors reading the Declaration. If absent, please read these pages. Students then completed W. 96. Lastly, we ran the Blow the Roof Off activity. Due: Current Event #1, DBQ Essay In Class: W. 96 Homework: W. 96 complete, share essay if haven't already Thursday, January 26: First we reviewed for the essay test next week, creating outlines. Wednesday, January 18: Today we analyzed the documents for the dbq essay. Students then started writing their essays. They also received one more chance to complete the Blow the Roof Off activity.
