Tuesday, March 17: Students took the Industrial Revolution Quiz today. If absent, come to a lab ASAP to make it up. Students also turned in their workbooks today. The last day to turn in work is Thursday! After the quiz, students began watching Newsies.

Monday, March 9: Today students were introduced to the Industrial Revolution. They took notes on p. 42 of the workbook. If absent, see Ms. Nay or a peer for notes. Students then did the content vocabulary assignment on p. 44 of the workbook. The students then had some time to work on their DBQ, if needed.

If absent, you do not need to complete p. 48. In Class: p. 47-48 of workbook Friday, March 13: Students visited different stations to learn about parts of the Industrial Revolution. At each station they were given 5 minutes to read the document with their group, and then five minutes to answer the questions with their group. Then they rotated to another document. If absent, download from the website or see Ms. Nay for a copy. Students completed p. 35 in the workbook, ensuring understanding of the prompt and pre-writing. They then analyzed the documents on p. 36-39 in the workbook, answering the accompanying questions. Next was more pre-writing on p. 40-41 of the workbook. Lastly, they started writing their rough drafts of their essays. They will have the entire next class to write their final drafts.
