Monday, December 14: Today students completed their Blood on the River Project. They came up with some ideas to solve the need of their client, then chose one to prototype. Students completed a prototype of their idea, then showed it to another group and received some feedback. We then debriefed and discussed the novel.

If there was not time last class, they presented their prototypes to the class. We wrapped up the novel with some last thoughts and discussion from the class. We then continued the causes of the Revolution Prezi (link below) and added to the notes on W. 83, discussing the acts of Parliament. If time, students began working on W. 77-79. Tuesday, December 8: Today we watched Episode 4 of The War That Made America and completed the video guide on W. 75-76. If absent, see Ms. Nay for an alternate assignment. We then divided into groups and began our project for Blood on the River. Students were required to pick a character that they would like to interview and to help. Then then had to find passages in the book describing that character. If absent, choose a character and find at least three passages from the book that describe the character. You may check out a novel to do so.
Due: Current Event #4, BotR Chp. 19-21 read In Class: W. 75-76, BotR Project Part 1: Empathy Homework: Read BotR Chp. 22-24 Thursday, December 10: We went over the results of the French and Indian War. If absent, review the Powerpoint on the Documents page to make sure you have the information for the test. Students then completed the French and Indian War map on W. 72. Next, students rejoined their groups to work on the BotR project. Students come up with some interview questions for the character they have chosen and give the answers they think the character would give. The next step is Define. Students have to define a problem that the character has that needs a solution.
