Monday, February 25: Students had time to work on their Charting the Branches assignment (W. 21-23). If finished, they began to study for the Civics test.

The also completed the Declare Your Powers assignment on W. 31. With any remaining time, we studied for the Civics Test. We then discussed essay test taking strategies and went over the prompts for the Midterm. Due: None In Class: Started foldable on W. 20 Homework: Current Event #3 Monday, February 4: As a class we went over the Preamble to the Constitution, defining terms and discussing what each part means (the Preamble is in your copy of the Constitution you received in class). Students will be required to memorize and recite the Preamble. We then started watching A More Perfect Union, answering the corresponding questions on the video guide on W. 18. If absent, please read check out a textbook from Ms. Nay and read T. 190-198 and answer questions 1-4 on T. 198.

If absent, come to a lab to view the episode or write a paragraph about either the Battle of Saratoga or the Winter at Valley Forge, and a paragraph on the Battle of Yorktown (for a total of two paragraphs).
