Monday, January 28: We concluded out Morphing Monopoly activity. Students then wrote a two paragraphs summarizing how their game changed and how it illustrated capitalism, socialism, and communism (both theoretical and what happens in reality). Lastly we discussed what caused the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Tuesday, January 21: Today we connected the Russian Revolution to the book Animal Farm. Students analyzed sources and compared the real events to the novel. If absent, see Ms. Nay for a copy of the assignment or find it on the Documents page, along with the intro slides.

Students had to write a paragraph at the end summarizing how their game changed and what they learned.
