Students were then introduced to NAFTA (if absent, see the Documents page for the information). Lastly, students were assigned a role in next class' NAFTA negotiation. Monday, September 17: Today we researched ways to apply the Five Themes of Geography to the US & Canada (worksheet on Documents page). Then, we finished the maps of Canada and the US. If time, students were assigned cultural aspects of the region to research.

These are due next class. If time, students read an overview of NAFTA. If absent, please come to a lab ASAP to make it up. After the test, students labeled the states and capitals of the US on a map.

We then discussed what makes the United States and Canada a region. We compared the maps on T. 106-109. Lastly, we applied the 5 Themes of Geography to the US and Canada.
