Wednesday, January 23: Today we learned about the grid pattern, completing W. 19-21. If time, students then worked on their Mission to Mars (M2M) Travel & Clothing sections.

Students also read T. 186 & 174-175, completing a Read Stop Write (use the textbook pages to complete W. 3 if absent). Students then worked on their Mission to Mars project. Due: W. 19-21 Complete In Class: RSW 186 & 174-175, W. 3, M2M Homework: Current Event #1; M2M Clothing Complete Monday, January 14: Today students received their new workbooks. If absent, see Ms. Nay for yours. We then read T. 110-111 & 138-139 and completed a Read Stop Write at the back of the workbook (just one RSW). Then we completed the chart on W. 2 (if absent, see Ms. Nay or a peer for the notes). Students then made their new clock partners.

We then discussed the travel portion of the Mission to Mars (M2M) project. Students started working on W. 5-7. Students then had a chance to finish the unscramble and match on W. 62. They then worked on the Chp. 5 Fill in the Blanks (if you have not received this, see Ms. Nay).

If finished with it all, they played the old Oregon Trail game. Then they read p. 84-85 & 88-89 in their textbook and complete one Read Stop Write on p. 64 (or 65 if they’ve already filled 64) of their workbook. They had any remaining time to work on their social media posters.
