Monday, May 9: Today we learned about daily life in Rome. We went over the Roman Society and Roman Sport & Military Powerpoints and took some notes. Students then went around the room reading about different parts of Roman society and answering trivia questions about them. If absent, see Ms. Nay for a copy of the assignment and information.

Students were then given time to finish any unfinished assignments or to work on their Colosseum models. Students then read two articles that compare the U.S. to ancient Rome. There will be a Socratic Seminar next class on this reading, so it must be completed by then (as well as the questions in the article). Tuesday, May 3: Today we completed our simulation of the Roman Senate. If absent, please write a paragraph summarizing your experience last class period with the Senate. If absent for both class periods of the simulation, come up with you own idea on how to make up the participation points and present the idea to Ms. Nay. Students then finished making their Colosseums.
