Monday, April 11: Today we read a summary of The Iliad and discussed the story. We then started watching Hercules, looking for key features of Greek civilization/mythology.

When it finished, we discussed connections with what we studied and what parts were made up by the creators. With the remaining time, students got together with a partner to create in image from the Iliad that will be on display during our class Olympics. Due: Athens in the Golden Age should be finished In Class: The Iliad Illustrated Homework: None Friday, April 15: Today we learned about Greek Philosophy. Students read about one Greek philosopher and reported back the class. They completed an assignment about the different philosophers. We then discussed Greek military strategy, then went outside and practiced creating a shield wall.
