Monday, February 26: First, we finished the movie and W. 19. Students were introduced to the Bill of Rights. We started W. 29, drawing pictures for the first five amendments.

Next, students were introduced to the civics test questions, the final test. With any remaining time, students completed the Bill of Rights assignment (W. 25-28). Tuesday, February 20: Today was the last day to pass off the Preamble. We then made a foldable for W. 20 on the three branches of government. We took notes on the executive and legislative branches. If absent, see Ms. Nay or a peer for the notes.
Due: Preamble In Class: W. 20 (started) Homework: None Thursday, February 22: We completed the foldable on W. 20 on the three branches of government. Students also wrote a thank you letter to their senator and representative for the field trip on Wednesday. They then had time to complete the Charting the Branches assignment on W. 21-23. Completed assignments so far were added to Aspire and checked off. Due: Workbook (checked off in class) In Class: W. 20 (finish - if absent see peer or Ms. Nay), W. 21-23, Thank You Letter Homework: W. 21-23 Tuesday, February 13: Students then had time to work on their outline for their essay next class. We then started working on Charting the Branches on W. 21 (packet online).
