Monday, March 2: Today we worked on our Constitution Document Based Question Essays (DBQ essay). Students completed p. 35 in the workbook, ensuring understanding of the prompt and pre-writing. They then analyzed the documents on p. 36-39 in the workbook, answering the accompanying questions. Next was more pre-writing on p. 40-41 of the workbook. Lastly, they started writing their rough drafts of their essays. They will have the entire next class to write their final drafts.
In Class: p. 35-41 in workbook, essay rough draft Homework: Rough draft Wednesday, March 4: Students have the entire class period to write their DBQ essays. These will be typed, 11-12 pt font, double spaced, Times New Roman or similar. They may be shared via Google Drive. In Class: DBQ essay final draft Homework: Finish final draft (due March 10), Community Experience Friday, March 6: Today students were introduced to the Industrial Revolution. As a class we discussed the causes of the Industrial Revolution and students took some notes. If absent, please get these notes from a peer. Students also completed the Content Vocabulary page in the workbook, p. 44. In any remaining time, students worked on their DBQ essay.
