Tuesday, September 8: Today students viewed the 'art gallery' of student posters in order to complete their charts on W. 16-17. If absent, you can get the information in the textbook on p. 30-33. We then discussed and completed W. 18-19, interpreting a map of population density of North America in 1500 AD. Lastly, students labeled their Physical Features maps of the United States (W. 20) and colored it. If absent, the list of features to label is on the documents page of the website.

We reviewed distinct cultural attributes of all of the tribes discussed so far this year, as well as theories of human migration to the Americas. We also reviewed the Physical Features map of the United States. We then briefly discussed the events of 9/11. At the end of class, we took the pre-test for our next unit (if absent, come to a lab to make it up).
