Monday, September 28: Today we discussed the Columbian Exchange. If absent, find the Powerpoint on the Documents page and list the items on W. 39. Students then learned about many different European explorers, using trading cards to complete W. 40-41. If absent, see a peer or Ms. Nay for the notes. Students also started their own trading card.
Due: none In Class: Columbian Exchange notes (W. 39), European Explorers Chart (W. 41-42), Your Own Trading Card Homework: None Wednesday, September 30: Students finished creating their own trading card for an explorer. If absent, see Ms. Nay for the requirements. Students then went over the documents (W. 42-48) for the upcoming DBQ Essay. We discussed the documents as a class, then the students individually answered the thinking questions. These questions are not a part of the document, but are intended to help analyze the document. In any remaining time, students organized their essay using W. 49.
