Tuesday, February 27: Students were introduced to the Bill of Rights. We completed W. 29. Students also worked on W. 25-28.

We also reviewed which branches have which powers on W. 31. Next, students were introduced to the civics test questions, the final test. Wednesday, February 21: No class due to field trip
Friday, February 23: If not already finished, we completed the foldable on W. 20 on the three branches of government. Students also wrote a thank you letter to their senator and representative for the field trip on Wednesday. They then had time to complete the Charting the Branches assignment on W. 21-23. Completed assignments so far were added to Aspire and checked off. Due: Workbook (checked off in class) In Class: W. 20 (finish - if absent see peer or Ms. Nay), W. 21-23, Thank You Letter Homework: Current Event #3 Monday, February 12: Students had a chance to pass off the Preamble. A1 also finished the movie and W. 19. Students then had time to work on their outline for their essay next class. We then started to take some notes on W. 20 on the three branches of government (if absent, see Ms. Nay or a peer for notes).

We then continued watching A More Perfect Union, completing W. 18-19. If absent, please complete an alternate assignment--research the Constitutional Convention and identify two conflicts/compromises of the convention. Write one paragraph explaining each one for a total of two paragraphs.
