Monday, December 15: Class began with a vocab quiz. If absent, please come after school to make up. We then went over the Prezi for the Acts of Parliament and filled in part of the graphic organizer on p. 92 of the workbook. If absent, read p. 132-135 in the textbook and answer questions 2-5 on the assessment on p. 135 instead. Students then worked on the Hey, King! (#1) assignment in the workbook on p. 86-88. In any spare time, students did a Blow the Roof Off activity.

Tuesday, December 9: First students finished watching the first episode of The War That Made America, completing the accompanying information (if absent, read p. 116-119 in the textbook and complete the section assessment on p. 119). Students then read a poem about the French and Indian War, discussing it as a class. Next, with a partner, students completed the French and Indian War map worksheet on p. 84 of the workbook. We then read the summaries for episodes 2 and 3 of The War That Made America. If time, students began watching episode four of The War That Made America.
Due: Workbook (Unit 4), Current Event #4 In Class: Episode 1 Video Guide (turned in), p. 84 in workbook Thursday, December 11: Students watched episode four of The War That Made America and completed a video guide (if absent, read p. 121-125 in the textbook and complete the section assessment on p. 125). Students then took notes on the Results of the French and Indian War on p. 85 of the workbook. In Class: Episode 4 Video Guide Monday, December 1: Today students read p. 100-106 in the textbook and completed the section 4-1 quiz (see Section Quizzes page). Students then worked on p. 77-81 in the workbook. On p. 81, the short answer questions are required, but the essay questions are not. The essay questions are extra credit, to be answered on a separate piece of paper, one paragraph each.
