Tuesday, November 10: Class began by students getting back into their groups to complete the colonization simulation. Students were then introduced to the requirements for the Colonies Comparison Essay. The students are to pick two colonies (either Jamestown, Plymouth, or Roanoke) and write an essay comparing and contrasting them. The essay should be four paragraphs, with introduction, body paragraph on similarities, body paragraph on differences, and a concluding paragraph. Students began researching and pre-writing today. We then read to Chapter 6 in Blood on the River. Students answered the Discussion Questions for each chapter in their journal (if absent you may check out a novel for one night;discussion questions are available on documents page as botrstudyguide2).
