Monday, January 29: Today we learned about what the Articles of Confederation were and how they set up a government. Students then completed W. 10-13 (if absent, these pages have the information needed about the Articles). They then had some time to finish the map on W. 4-5.

Students completed W. 14-17. They then wrote a DBQ paragraph, using the document on W. 16 to answer the following question: Did Jefferson want to see America form a strong central government? Use evidence from the document to prove your answer. Due: Workbook (2-12) In Class: W. 14-17, DBQ Paragraph Homework: None (if paragraph finished in class) Friday, February 2: Today we went over the Preamble to the Constitution. Students will have until Feb. 16 to recite and pass off the Preamble. Next, we started watching A More Perfect Union, answering questions on W. 18.
