Monday, May 8: Today we took notes on W. 67 on the major battles of the Civil War. If absent, get notes from Ms. Nay or a peer. Students also started mapping the battles on W. 65-66 using the instruction packet. Instructions also found on the website.
Due: Workbook In Class: W. 67, 65-66 Homework: None Wednesday, May 10: Students finished mapping the major battles of the Civil War on W. 65-66, using the instruction packet (available on documents page). They then read the Gettysburg Address on W. 71, answering the questions on W. 72-73 using complete sentences. If time, students also finished the assignments on W. 62-65, started earlier. If still more time, they read the Emancipation Proclamation on W. 74 and interpreted some phrases on W. 75. We then watched a documentary about the Underground Railroad. Next, we began to discuss the Reconstruction of the South after the war. They completed W. 82.
