Monday, October 5: Students were given 5 minutes to review for the Unit Test. Students then took the test on Age of Exploration (if absent, come after school ASAP to make up this test). Students then had the rest of the class period to finish their Age of Exploration DBQ Essay, which is due next class. If they are already finished, they may begin working on their 13 Colonies Map (W. 52).

Students then completed the study guide on W. 54 with the accompanying Prezi about Roanoke (if absent, follow the link below). Students then came up with their own theory about what happened to the colonists at Roanoke with "The Ghost of Virginia Dare" on W. 53. Lastly, students had some time to do some essay touch-ups. If already finished with their essay, they may work on the 13 colonies map W. 52. Due: DBQ Essay, Workbook Unit 2 In Class: W. 53, W. 54 (Roanoke Notes) Homework: Make sure essay submitted by midnight Friday, October 9: Students completed the Jamestown portion of the study guide (W. 54-55) with the accompanying Prezi (if absent, see link below). Students then completed the Jamestown Interactive (link below) to make choices as a settler. Once they figured out some of the problems the settlers of Jamestown had, the completed the Jamestown Solutions (w. 56). We then read the textbook as a class (T. 70-73) and had a small quiz.
