Monday, March 27: First we took the quiz on Utah's struggle for statehood. If absent, please come to a lab ASAP to make this up. Next, we created a foldable for W. 44 about the three branches of government and started taking some notes. If absent, you can get those notes from Ms. Nay or a peer. A2 also completed a read stop write for T. 218, 220-221. We also finished the vocal on W 42.

Tuesday, March 21: Today we took notes about the Utah War on W. 39. If absent, the powerpoint is on the documents page. Students then had time to answer the questions on W. 40-41. They could use the textbook as well as their notes to finish. Lastly, we did a read stop write for T. 154-157.

Thursday, March 23: Students completed a read stop write for T. 153. We then reviewed for a quiz next class on Utah's struggle for statehood. Next, students were introduced to our government unit. We went over the vocabulary. On W. 42, students did the following for each vocabulary word found on W. 42:
1. Write the word in a memorable way
2. Write the definition
3. Use the word in a sentence
4. Write a synonym for the word
5. Write an antonym for the word
6. Draw a simple sketch for the word

Wednesday, March 15: We completed a Read Stop Write for T. 150-152. We then made a foldable for W. 38. We started taking some notes in it from a Prezi (link below). We also discussed the vocabulary on W. 37.
