Tuesday, October 27: Today students took notes on the Goshute portion of W. 29. The PowerPoint is in the Documents page (UTJChp2ppt). They then watched the video about the Goshutes (W. 31). If absent for the video, see Ms. Nay on how to make up the assignment or see if you can answer the questions with the help of the internet. We then did a Read, Stop, Write on Legends (T. 63). With the remaining time students started writing their own legend on W. 39.

Monday, October 5: Today we learned about the Anasazi and Fremont. We completed the chart on W. 28 with the Powerpoint (see documents page). We then learned about the atlatl, how it was made and the physics behind how it works. Lastly, we read T. 44-48 and completed a read, stop, write on W. 72.

If absent, please come after school soon to make it up. We then compared the prehistoric groups of Utah. Lastly, students made a map of locations of tribes in Utah and completed the timeline (W. 26-27, see Chp. 3 UTJ powerpoint on documents page). Due: Community Experience In Class: Vocab Quiz, W. 26-27 Homework: decide on which unit project to do Friday: October 9: We went over the Paiute part of the UTJ Chp. 3 Powerpoint and completed the Paiute part of the chart on W. 29.
