Tuesday, September 26: Today we learned about the Geologic Eras. We did a RSW of T. 28-29, completing one more RSW on W. 72. Students then divided into groups to create a column poster about one of the Geologic Eras. If absent, create a small poster on the Era of your choice (these can be found on T. 26-27). Students presented their poster at the end of class. If students finished early, the read T. 36-37 with their group.

We then looked at some rocks from Utah and tried to decide what type of rock they were. We then played Geology BINGO. Monday, September 19: Students were given a few minutes to review for the test. They then took the Unit 1 test on Geography. If absent, please come to an afters school lab ASAP to make up this test. Students were then given time to either finish their 5 Themes Project or, if they finish, to begin working on the Chapter 2 Study Guide in their workbooks (W. 21-24).

They then participated in a review game in preparation for the unit test next class period. We then reviewed the themes Human Environment Interactions and Movement. The Powerpoints we used are on the Documents page. Students then took their first Counties Map Quiz. They will have multiple attempts to get 100% (including spelling). The last day to take the quiz is September 21. If there was time, students were able to finish the Chapter 1 Study Guide or reviewed the maps.
