Tuesday, May 10: Today we briefly reviewed for our test next class on the Progressive Era, World War I, Roaring Twenties, and the Great Depression. We then finished the powerpoint we started last class showing the troop movements of World War II. Next, we talked about the fear of the Japanese during World War II and the internment camps. Students completed W. 81 with a clock partner. We then started reading our novel, Journey to Topaz. If absent, please check out a novel to read the prologue-chapter 2, and return the book the following morning for the next class to use.

Monday, May 2: Today we learned about the Roaring 20s. We discussed some of the changes and then watched a video about the Roaring 20s, completing W. 88-89 as we watched. If absent, come to a lab to watch the video, or research the Roaring 20s and take some notes on W. 88. We then learned how to do the Charleston dance and practiced it.

If absent, view the Powerpoint on the Documents page and take some notes about the causes on W. 64. We then watched part 2 of War, Depression, War and answered questions 6-21 on W. 56-57. If absent, come to a lab to view this part of the video. Students then completed W. 67 about the New Deal, using their textbooks or the internet at home.
