Monday, November 27: Today we discussed the difference between fact and opinion, and why it is important to recognize the difference when studying history. We also read some tall tales. Students then took an event from their own lives and exaggerated to make a tall tale. They wrote this tall tale on W. 50. If time, they continued working on W. 46-47.

Wednesday, November 29: Students were assigned a mountain man to research. They then researched about that mountain man using the textbook and the internet. On the Utah Studies home page, there are many websites listed for each mountain man that you can use. The research was recorded on W. 51-53.

Friday, December 1: If unfinished, students completed their research. They then started writing their research report. It should be two pages, typed, double-spaced, 11-12 point font and include a works cited page.

Friday, November 17: Today we went on an expedition of the school and mapped it out. If absent, draw a map of the school on W. 43 to the best of your ability. We also created a foldable to go on W. 45 and started taking some notes on famous mountain men. If absent, see Ms. Nay to get caught up on which notes we took.
