Monday, October 5: Today we learned about the Anasazi and Fremont. We completed the chart on W. 28 with the Powerpoint (see documents page). We then learned about the atlatl, how it was made and the physics behind how it works. Lastly, we read T. 44-48 and completed a read, stop, write on W. 72.
Due: none In Class: W. 28, One RSW W. 72 (With T. 44-48) Homework: Community Experience Wednesday, October 7: Class began with a vocabulary quiz. If absent, please come after school soon to make it up. We then compared the prehistoric groups of Utah. Lastly, students made a map of locations of tribes in Utah and completed the timeline (W. 26-27, see Chp. 3 UTJ powerpoint on documents page). Due: Community Experience In Class: Vocab Quiz, W. 26-27 Homework: decide on which unit project to do Friday: October 9: We went over the Paiute part of the UTJ Chp. 3 Powerpoint and completed the Paiute part of the chart on W. 29. Students then watched the Paiute episode of We Shall Remain (if absent, see Ms. Nay for make-up assignment). Students answered the video guide questions on W. 32. If time, we discussed what Legends are and why they are important.
