Tuesday, August 23: Class began with a Compare and Contrast Pre-Test. If absent, please come to a lab ASAP to make this up. During this time Ms. Nay checked that textbooks were covered. We then introduced our geography unit and talked about the 5 Themes of Geography. We completed W. 2 with our discussion. If absent, see Ms. Nay or a peer for the notes. Please see Ms. Nay if you are confused about the 5 Themes of Geography. In any remaining time, students were able to start their homework, the 5 Themes Practice on W. 3. Graded papers were passed out as they worked.

Then, as a class, we read T. 3-7 and started the Chapter 1 Study Guide (W. 11) using those textbook pages. Students worked with a clock partner on the study guide.
