Tuesday, August 25: We began class by reviewing some current events. Students have their first one due today. We then corrected the 5 Themes Practice homework (W. 3). Next, students created their partner clocks in their workbook (if absent, see Ms. Nay for your clock). Next, we started the Chapter 1 Study Guide (W. 11). To do so, we read in the textbook together starting on p. 3 and continuing on to p. 7. With any time left, we went over the vocabulary terms for Unit 1 (W. 1).

Students then got with their 4 o'clock partner to complete workbook p. 4 (W.4). We then checked the answer and reviewed the definition of place. Students then began to label and color their maps of Utah (W. 5-8). There will be some time next class to work on this, but students should have started on their second map by the end of the class period.
