Tuesday, January 27: Today we discussed the problems with settlement the early pioneers faced. We read the side bar on p. 106 of the textbook and completed the second half of p. 2 in the workbook. We then discussed how the pioneers actually got to Utah and what they wore at that time, reading p. 5 and 8 in the workbook. Lastly, students were given time to work on Travel and Clothing parts of their Mission to Mars project.

We then discussed the grid system that Utah cities are set up in. Students practice using p. 20-21 in the workbook. Then, students plot their own town on p. 19 in the workbook.
