Tuesday, April 28: Today students learned about the Roaring 20s. First they were given an overview of what happened in the 1920s. They then watched a video about the Roaring 20s, completing p. 88-89 in the workbook. Students were then introduced to some early jazz music and learned the Charleston basic dance steps. If absent, come to a lab to watch the video or bring a flash drive to get a copy to watch at home.
Due: Current Event In Class: p. 88-89 in workbook (with Roaring 20s video) Thursday, April 30: Students turn in their political cartoons/propaganda posters today. They then are introduced to the causes of the Great Depression, using the PowerPoint found on the Documents page to take notes on p. 64 of the workbook. They then read some first-hand accounts of the Depression in Utah. After reading, they completed p. 65 in the workbook. These accounts are available on the Documents page.
